I have a large Derasa clam with lots of prime property on its shell for some corals. Are there any kind of corals that I can grow on it that would not harm or sting the clam? Just a thought.

As long as the coral growing on it did not touch the mantle it would be fine. That's actually a neat idea, might have to try it in the future. I definetly wouldn't put anything that throws out stinging tentacles. A branching monti or acro would be safe bets.
