Hey All! I want to see your fish room layouts. Big or small, It doesnt matter. Tips or Tricks? What would you do over again? I was going to post this on the monster tank forum, but your display size has nothing to do with your fish room size! I want somewhere for people to go to get ideas of what has worked and what has not worked! We have seen massive full basement setups, garage rooms, to a fish room under the stairs. They all serve a purpose and I want to see them all and learn from others mistakes!

Here is the Format: Please answer to the best of your ability!

Pictures!@!@!
Size of your Room and where is it located?
Do you have floor drains?
Do you have a sink?
Do you have a work station?
Do you have a mixing station?
What Size of sump do you have?
Specialty Equipment?
Do you have a frag tank?
Do you have a Quarantine?
Do you have a refugium?
Any specialty tanks?
Is your fish room controlled with a controller?
What are you doing about humidity in your fish room?
How many dedicated electrical circuits do you have in your room?
Any other specifications you want to add?

I will start:

Size of your Room and where is it located? 24'x10' with 8' 8" ceiling and it is located in my basement behind my Inwall tank.
Do you have floor drains? 2 2" drains (unfortunately they get used often!)
Do you have a sink? a small slop sing
Do you have a work station? 6ft of working counter tops with upper and lower cabinetry from home depot.
Do you have a mixing station? 3 55f barrels, 2 for saltwater and one for freshwater
What Size of sump do you have? 100g Rubbermaid
Specialty Equipment? Im running a Calcium reactor and Kalk reactor. I have a UV sterilizer I have yet to setup.
Do you have a frag tank? 90g shallow
Do you have a Quarantine? 40g breeder
Do you have a refugium? 60g shallow
Any specialty tanks? I have a breeding system ready to be installed!
Is your fish room controlled with a controller? Apex
What are you doing about humidity in your fish room? I have a humidity controlled fan running outside and a dehumidifier going into a sump pit
How many dedicated electrical circuits do you have in your room? 5 dedicated cruicuits (1 for main tank lights, 2 for sump, 1 for frag tank, 1 for work area)
Any other suggestions you want to add? Would you go bigger, smaller, longer, or taller?
Overall I have been very happy with my Fish room. Its big enough for 2 people to work, but i still feel like I'm cleaning all the time due to lack of space to put things.
I am going to rearrange my room shortly to add my breeding system into my main system and move my mixing station to the utility room.
If I was to do things over, I might have thought more about my sump. The 100g rubbermaid works fine, but I might have gone with a custom acrylic sump. The price was right on the Rubbermaid though!
I would recommend the folding walkway I used to everyone with higher tank. Ladders would be a HUGE pain.

Mine just sort of keeps growing. The water mixing station is to the left of the sump. The sink (not pictured) is under the window.

My furnace is in the same room as my tank for now, I'm considering building a wall between the 2. But the basement stays 65 all year without much help.....Indiana

Well, I just bought a new 210 gallon tank that is going to be a in wall, fish only tank that will go in my new fish room once completed. I am planning on plumbing it into my existing system, with my 210 gallon reef tank. I can’t wait to get started on this project! Would love some more insight from anyone that has, or is planning on making their fish room.

That's amazing! I live in a 700 sq. ft. apartment, so my fish room is this little cabinet under my 20G Red Sea MAX NANO. Houses an UPS to keep the tank running for 12 hours in a power outage, a CO2 scrubber, a 2-part dosing system, and a 5-gal ATO bucket with Kalk. (Sump is in the back of my AIO tank, so saving some space there).

I insolate my tanks...

In the winter the waters cools pretty fast in the piping so the tanks farther from the sump get a heater.

Last winter it got so cold out my basement dipped in the the 50's.
