I can't see what you're seeing personally, but @UncommonSense is good with these questions, maybe he will have a minute to take a look for you.

At a glance, it looks a lot like a chip in the bottom-inside edge of the front pane, as indicated below in blue:

However, the line indicated in yellow does look a bit like the edge of a water puddle under the glass pane edge, and the area indicated in white dots looks reminiscent of condensation under the pane edge…

More photos or a video of the area (ideally well lit with white-ish lighting to mitigate reflected glare) would definitely help make a more confident diagnosis!

Also, presumably the foam mat is glued to the tank bottom?

I see what you circled. However, I can’t definitively tell what it is. How long has tank been set up?

Is anything wet on the outside?

The foat mat is just sat on the cabinet with the tank on top not glued. I have got water dripping down to the bottom foam etc before from water changes putting my hand in tank etc and did a water change recently but i feel ive seen it before and should have dried by now? I will take more pics and a vid

Ah! In this case, try bending the edge of the mat down to see if there’s actually moisture on the face of it!

If so, wipe it down well, possibly dry using a can of computer duster or other compressed air/fan source, then wait to see if it magically gets wet again without any hands going in the tank!

Heres more photos i also did try to put my finger underneath abit but can only do so much with the matt. It does look abit different in differenet angles as seen in the photos.

Well, the good news is that there’s no chip in your tank’s glass!

My best guess here would be spilled water leaking down the viewing pane, hitting that protruding mat edge, and creeping under the tank, between tank and mat from there!

Can you stick the edge of a tissue in the crack between tank and bent-down mat in that corner to see if it comes out wet? If so, that will confirm this is indeed water…

To determine confidently if water is from a spill, or a leak; do your best to dry things off, then check again for any new moisture before you put hands in the tank again!

Its difficult to get get the tissue in fully but i tried and at least towards the front theres no wet tissue at all. Could it still be maybe soaked into the foam ? I could keep my eye on it and let it air dry and see how it goes. Judging by what youve seen do you think its unlikely leaking seal or anything of that nature?

If it is indeed dry down there, I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about, seal-wise!

It’s entirely possible that this wet looking area (when viewing through glass) is actually a handprint or similar on the bottom of the glass!
