Potential Zoa Pest?

I noticed these this morning on the base of one of my zoa frags. Trying to ID if they are a potential pest or what they might be. My initial thought was new polyps forming, but they just didn't appear normal to me. They look to be white and not the same purplish color of the zoa flesh, that Im use to seeing when a new polyp starts. It might be nothing and Im over reacting, but would rather ask here sooner than later

Can you get a side view pic? They look like they might be pineapple sponges, but hard to say from this picture.

It looks like sponge to me. Should come right off with ease. Just always wear protective equipment when handling zoas! (Safety glasses and gloves)

YEah, my bet would be pineapple sponges, I had thousands of them when my tank first started. Mostly gone but still have a few hiding. My tank is 2 years old now. Just look them up, if that is what you are seeing, they are fine. Actually beneficial. The Zoa's will out grow them. But take a look at pineapple sponges for yourself, and see if they look like what you are seeing.

I just looked at some pictures of pineapple sponges and Im not thinking that what these are. These are smooth and round, the sponges I was seeing when I looked it up are "fuzzy" and more elongated. Unless these are immature and have not fully developed yet. I wish I get better pictures for you

Honestly thats what they look like in appearance to me as well. But I just had that feeling that something was off and these appear different. But at this point its not seeming like its any major pest, so I will monitor them and see what happens
