These were first aquacultured a few years back and they’ve had them up every now and then. Sadly, they have not budged from $900 since released.
Unfortunately, still in small numbers but this was one of our largest batches yet. Once they're produced more frequently and we continue to improve pricing should follow like it did with mandarins, coral beauties, and other species we breed.

That price pushed me away too

Keep doing what you're doing! One day we'll all have an aquacultured Bandit Angel 🤞

We don’t get them, or most of your fish for that matter, over in Asia. Wish we could, although the $$ isn’t exactly what I can afford currently.
We regularly ship to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Korea. Unfortunately, the allowable species to ship into Mainland China are very limited so we've only shipped primarily 2 species there.

Some useless math for fun in case one wants to purchase a Potter's and considers them expensive or a splurge.

Drink or Item TypeAverage PriceStops to Skip (Rounded Up)
Basic Brewed Coffee / Hot Tea$2.40375
Soft Coral Frag (Average baseline)$35.0026
LPS Coral Frag (Average baseline)$45.0020
Acropora Coral Frag (Average baseline)$75.0012
Iced Coffee / Cold Brew$3.75240
Caffè Latte / Cappuccino$5.13176
Specialty & Seasonal Drinks$6.50139

Side note - average live span of a captive bred, raised, Potter's is 5 to 10 years. If we are good hobbyist in the care of it, and it lives 5 years, that is maybe 50 cents a day (shout out to 50 cent!). If we are above average hobbyist, and have a bit of the Irish luck then it is about .30 cents a day. If we are one of those hobbyist who are stellar and have an Irish charm or two tucked away we are talking maybe 25 cents a day if that.

Pocket change.

It is a splurge but a beautiful fish. And very well may be the only option to buy one moving forward due to the situation in our 50th state.

Hope everyone's day is well.
