Hey Everyone,

So I picked up a large and healthy powder blue tang from a store who recently acquired him due to someone shutting down their tank. I picked him up literally the day after he got to the store. I typically feed mysis and lrs chunky to my tank, the powder blue had no interest in eating them… he’d swim up to them like he was about to then turn away. So I started down a rabbit whole of trying to figure out what this fish was eating at his old home. Long story short he only eats pellets lol ( and sometimes picks a little at the nori strip but not often). I need to get him eating a wider variety of foods to keep him happy and healthy. Any recommendations on how to get him to eat other foods. I tried to mix the pellets with mysis when I feed but he will specifically dig the pellets out. Any help would be great!

let the mysis thaw in a small cup and the smell with get stronger and he will eat trust

I will try. I typically thaw for like 10 mins and I might add a dab of garlic drops for fish appetite by coralife

raw clam/mussel/oyster on the half shell is worth a try.
