What is this? I nee this in my life!
It was a little afternoon project I made with some scrap wood. I can't take credit for the design as I completely ripped it off from @redfishbluefish.
ok so this is brilliant! i have a ton of extra ply and 2x4s left over from my 220 stand build, etc. Once i have everything on hand, ill start this type of stuff. Love it!Yep, scrape plywood I had laying around. I still call it 1/4 inch (I'm an old fart), but it's that thin ply you buy now....maybe called 5.5 mm or something like that. Now the one mistake I made was that I thought a Vortech power supply were all the same. So I measured one supply, added a little extra, and made the holding unit.
So when I went to install this thing with the multiple power supplies, I quickly found out that there were at least three different sizes and the wire location was different as well. So I cut and modified to fit the larger supplies I had.
I’ve probably said it before and I’ll say it again... this is brilliant! Simply brilliant.Yep, scrape plywood I had laying around. Did you make the box to house the ADJ strips? Is it easily removable to access the plugs? On my old 180, I used panduit to run wires and built a box on an undermount drawer slide to access the back of the power strips
Yes, it’s on an undermount drawer slide. It pulls out to access the back/plugsDid you make the box to house the ADJ strips? Is it easily removable to access the plugs?

What are those things holding the bricks and I suppose might as well tell me what's holding wires above although I believe I've seen that before?

Man, some of you are wizards!
I have a peninsula tank with a cabinet on one end of it ,one side I have the apex and my ipad and the pump controllers and on the other side where I hide all the wires and transformer boxes ,I lined the cabinet with concrete board and mounted the trans boxes to the sides and the top , the concrete will help stop or at least slow down any spread if there ever was any fire issues and the concrete is also cool so it helps remove heat from the boxes and im also installing a few large computer fans inside the wire cabinet to blow heat out fresh air in and keep everything cool. In my picture on the right is my control area for my apex ipad pump controls and a laptop that slides into the cabinet , and behind the apex on the other side is where all the wires are kept and all the power bars , transformer boxes ect, second pic is of the cord area lined with concrete board when I was building itLooking for ideas on managing power cords especially the transformer box. Do people mount Them to the wall Inside their aquarium stand? I will have a total of seven or eight between the light fixtures and the pumps. Thanks
