A simple wire track installation. I ran it for my electronic panel and along the back side of my sump, in my stand. if you measure correctly, you can drill through the bottom of one, directly into the side of the next one and not have to see any wire away from its termination point. I also used similar track for my calRX tubing ad wiring.

It was a little afternoon project I made with some scrap wood. I can't take credit for the design as I completely ripped it off from @redfishbluefish.

Yep, scrape plywood I had laying around. I still call it 1/4 inch (I'm an old fart), but it's that thin ply you buy now....maybe called 5.5 mm or something like that. Now the one mistake I made was that I thought a Vortech power supply were all the same. So I measured one supply, added a little extra, and made the holding unit.

So when I went to install this thing with the multiple power supplies, I quickly found out that there were at least three different sizes and the wire location was different as well. So I cut and modified to fit the larger supplies I had.

What are those things holding the bricks and I suppose might as well tell me what's holding wires above although I believe I've seen that before?

See post 46 above.

Yep...Paul explained them in post #46 above. Above them is a simple cable raceway/wire duct/slotted raceway/etc. It has a cover that isn't pictured. Search any of those terms on Amazon and you'll have plenty of options.

Man, some of you are wizards!

Daniel, please don't be fooled.....my equipment cabinet has an apparent organized look:

But I have a confession.....pick up the false floor in this area of the cabinet and it's a tangled mess of a spaghetti of wires.

Hidden tangled mess of wires or not, you have LABELING! I love it.

really like the clean layouts I am seeing in this read, and using wire way to hide and make it serviceable is a fantastic idea.

One question, I haven't bought any powerheads or major equipment yet, but is it common for these control boxes to be more water/humidity resistant? Seems many have this going already, but I would want controllers facing the sump area so I can adjust them easily, but would want the AC power strips and transformers etc to all be in dry cabinet. Some positive airflow into the dry cabinet from outside so any moisture/heat is blow "out" and into the sump area where it belongs.

Looking for ideas on managing power cords especially the transformer box. Do people mount Them to the wall Inside their aquarium stand? I will have a total of seven or eight between the light fixtures and the pumps. Thanks
I have a peninsula tank with a cabinet on one end of it ,one side I have the apex and my ipad and the pump controllers and on the other side where I hide all the wires and transformer boxes ,I lined the cabinet with concrete board and mounted the trans boxes to the sides and the top , the concrete will help stop or at least slow down any spread if there ever was any fire issues and the concrete is also cool so it helps remove heat from the boxes and im also installing a few large computer fans inside the wire cabinet to blow heat out fresh air in and keep everything cool. In my picture on the right is my control area for my apex ipad pump controls and a laptop that slides into the cabinet , and behind the apex on the other side is where all the wires are kept and all the power bars , transformer boxes ect, second pic is of the cord area lined with concrete board when I was building it
