i have a 55 gallon working on a mixed reef... right now i have currently 2 600 hydor Koralia evolution circulation on a RKL wave maker setting at 5:00 to 10:00 minute intervals... i am thinking its not enough because there is not a lot flow in the tank.... my over flow is in the back left corner looking at the tank and my return in a 1/2 line split into a Y my 600's are set one on the right and one on the left....

any comments on this set up???

I had a friend with a 90 cube with those same power heads and he had to get something different. Flow from 1 at a time is toooo slow. Turn both of them on and it would be much better for you! Is that an acrylic stand for your light? Pretty nifty!

I actually have a 60 gallon and I am running a 1150gph, and 850gph, a 425gph, and the sump return and I still have an area that I would like more flow. I think you could definatley use some more. A lot depends on what you are keeping though....certain corals and fish like more flow than others.

Lol. Yeah. I had some scrap left over from my 180 build. And needed to raise the light. Hanging kit isn't available till August. I have a 1150 I think. I am going to take one 600 out. And replace. See whAt that does.
