Powerhead gph requirment q

Hi friends, new reefer, tank planning for 70-100g tank with soft coral and fish. BRS on their powerhead selection page suggests “most tanks under 100g will operate with 2 powerheads” then later says the powerheads should move 20-30x tank volume per hour. Just want to confirm this means that combined, the two powerheads should move a total of 20-30x tank volume (and not 40-60x combined)….

I use 10-20x myself, others will use 20-30x or even 20-40x. But in answer to your question, yes - it's the combined flow rate from all wavemakers (excluding your return pump).
