So i now have 2 mp10 vortechs and debating whether to mount them on the right/left side of the tank or both in the back. The only reason I am a little skittish of the back is that I am worried about dead spots in the back. Any thoughts?

Its not easy to advise someone on flow in their tank, I usually suggest to put an airstone in the tank and experiment with the powerhead placement. The bubbles will show you where the low flow zones are, sorry I can't offer better suggestion than that.

Yes there’re some dead sport, but how you do your rockscapes
Here mine Red Sea 170 reefer, 2 mp40 setting at 5 bars
