I have a 120gallon tank with a COR20 return pump and 2 Tunze power heads (Either 6025/740GPH or 6045/1175 GPH, can't remember which.) I found out the magnet on the one of the brackets is rusting, and since the new brackets cost almost as much as the powerhead I'm looking at replacing it.

My question is what I should get.

Option 1: Replace the Tunze with another Tunze or Koralia
Option 2: Get a Neptune Wav that I can plug into the 1Link port and control
Option 3: get a different DC pump that can be controlled (Skimz, Vortech, etc)

I have a bunch of other expenses right now, so I'm leaning towards one of the cheaper options, but the Skimz powerheads look interesting. What are people's experience with the Wav pumps? Is it worth it to get something that's controllable?

I am a big tunze fan but I have always used the DC tunze pumps. If you have been happy with the Tunze’s I would go 6095s and control through the APEX.

if it is something that you can wait for a little bit on, wait and see how the new AI Nero rates. I personally am a fan of the Vortec family but it does require the additional purchase of the WXM if you want apex to control it and the MP10 are almost not strong enough to stick on a common thickness 120 gal.
