My cousin bought this large colony from a local Reefer a couple months ago. He had only t5’s on his system when he brought it home. It did well for a couple months. Then he had a tank crash, everything slowly was doing bad or even dead.... we figured the t5 bulbs went bad. I convinced him to upgrade his lights to kessils 360we’s. He’s retro fitting the t5’s now as well... anyways the predators blood has started to bleach. It started before he put kessils on, but now it’s bleaching bad everyday progressively. So instead of watching it die, we fragged it up. I put half the frags in my tank and half in his in different spots. I already have some in mine growing well from previous. I showed a local friend/Reefer and he thinks it could be alk burn. Let me know what you think and why!

Nitrates - 1 ppm

Phosphates - .25

Calcium- 440ppm

Alkalinity- 9.5

Magnesium- 1350 ppm

the image with the arrows are of the frags in my own tank now and you can see the arrows pointing to the two frags I already had in there compared to the ones I just put in. Healthy and growing
