Saw some ORA maxima clams and petco that caught my eye and I was wondering if anyone has proactively FW dipped clams to prevent diseases. Don't have the ability to QT any clams.

The LFS nearby told me that ORA recommended a freshwater dip on new clams. Don't quote that as I didn't hear it from ORA personally but I saw him freshwater dipping a new batch of gold maximas he picked up and according to him, ORA recommended it.

How long did they reccomend dipping them for?

15 minutes from what I was told. When treating pinched mantle I usually left the clam in for 30 minutes with a nano powerhead to create a little flow.
