I've been using AquaForest reed salt for a while I decided try their probiotic. When I first started using it I immediately noticed a cyano outbreak. I got that under control pretty quick but my sand bed and rock just looked.....dirtier than usual.
Last night I didn't a water change and then this morning I suddenly have Dino everywhere. I've never had this problem before and I'm honestly intimidated on battling it and not sure how to proceed. I've been reading to just siphon out what I can and stop water changes. Any other tips?

I'm almost done with this bucket of Probiotic salt but I'm no longer going to use it. Is it possible this salt is cause of my outbreak? I've never had an real algae problem before this. The tank is a 2 year old mixed reef.

its adding bacteria food. I have my doubts is a dino unless you have a microscope.

edit. a box of instant ocean is really cheap from amazon. its an easy test.

I really looks like Dino. I don't have a microscope so I can't pinpoint what kind of Dino it is.
exactly. in most tank ive seen here. it not dinos, or rarely is it. It is possible.
is start by changing salt. not feeding bacteria with aminos carbon dosing etc and see if that solves it. in many cases is does.

Hey the AF probio salt contains amino acids and vitamins in addition with bacteria and bacterial growth media. It is for ULNs tanks. So if your tank is not ULNS then it will cause cyano outbreak. Change it with the reef salt and your problem will be solved. Hope this answers your problem.
