Hi guys , i'm pretty new to the saltwater acquarium.
14 days ago i'm setup my Mini Reef. It is a 125 liters gross. I start with Carib Sea Life Rock with no sand. The tecnique are this ones : Skimmer Tunze 9004 , Light AI Hydra 32 HD, Movement Pump are two AI Nero 3 at 70% speed in Random Mode Sync.
I start 14 days ago with Red Sea Mature Kit , i turn on Skimmer and it makes good bubble and in two days is full with water and dirty things. Now i test my water and the result it this ones Nitrite 0.2 Nitrate 0.10 and Ammonia 0.2. I stop dosing Bacteria 4 days ago and continue to dosing NoPox like the Manual says. The water is always cloudly , it seems that Skimmer are not able to clean the NoPox and my test is very high in comparison with the manuals ones. I'm worrying about Bacteria works because in 4 days the Bacteria doesn't clear my Ammonia. It is possible for you? Why i can do right now? Continue with dosing like the Manual? Like 3 ml of NoPox daily? I can if is better buy maybe FritzZyme 9 and Fritz Fishless Fuel for the ammonia to start again cycling with this different products? I know the Red Sea Mature Kit is for Live Rock but i'm read after that i bought it.
Thank you.
PS. Sorry for my bad english i'm Italian :D

Show a picture of the readings, they are probably 0. I would also just stop the nopox.

Here the tests and skimmer setup. The KH is 8.6 d/KH. I don’t understand what the heck is happened here. I wrote to Red Sea and they tell me that the skimmer has to have all the air open but if I open the air the skimmer overflow in 1 minute. It doesn’t matter if I bring the cup down or up. More the skimm is dry more it is overflow.

Red Sea Muture is designed for systems started with live ocean rock.

If starting with dead rock do not dose the NoPox as it will cause many problems.

Just continue without it and the tank will cycle in about 28 days

Perfect. I try without NoPox , I continue to add Koralline Gro for KH adjustament ? They say the KH are to stay at 8.4d/KH

Honestly really no need to add anything to the tank while it cycles, no need to add anything usually for the first several months. A 2 week old tank is going through a lot of changes for the next few months, so trying to control parameters now is pointless. Better to let the tank do its thing, once it stabilizes a bit then you can consider dosing.

If there is nothing in the tank you should not need to adjust Alk by much. If you do need to adjust, you can use whatever you have available.

You could just use Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) if you have that already.

Koraline gro also has some trace elements in it too
