Anyone ever had problems with keep anemones?

I had a IM Nuvo 24 that was about 8 months old when I added my first RBTA. It looked happy and full for about a month then started to shrink a bit and the tips would never bubble up. Shortly after that I never saw it again. (I’m guessing it detached and got shredded by the powerhead)

I now have a Red Sea REEFER 250 and have a green bubble tip and it looked full and happy for the first 2 weeks but now looks kinda shriveled and the bubbles are practically never full. I don’t want a repeat of what happened in my Nuvo. Anyone ever experience this or have any ideas?

I feed it about 1-2 times a week with mysis shrimp and it catches particles from coral feeding and fish feeding. There is a porcelain crab that lives in there and looks happy. All the parameters are in check and water quality is good I don’t know what to else to do.

Thanks

What are your parameters, what light are you using, how old is the tank.

Last week paremters-
Alk-10.4
Calc- 420
Mag-1330
Salinity- 1.026
Temp- 78.7
Nitrate- 3ppm
Phosphate- .03

I have 2 XR15 Pros gen 4 with diffusers they run from 9am-8pm with an hour of ramo up and ramp down. They max out at 75% and I use the AB+ schedule from EcoTech

Nice nice, well we can rule out that.
I’m not familiar with how reef safe porcelain crabs are, it’s pointy feet would be my second guess, just irritating the nem ya know.
Wish I was more help

You didn't say how long your tank has been running as a new tank can be unstable and that can affect your BTA. Besides that your alkalinity is high for nem. BTA can adjust to high alk but not always. Try to keep your alk below 9dkh and they'll do better. Hope that helps;)

Thank you I will try to bring it down towards 9 over the next couple weeks. Tank was setup at the end of August 2018.
