Problems with your expensive light?

I sent my hydra 26 hd in to this gentleman and he fixed my problem for a fair fee! I highly recommend him! His company i believe is fixreef. This is my light he fixed!

I wonder how many times customers have had this issue? He did say in his video he has seen this a lot. Poor manufacturing for an expensive light. What did he charge?

I feel your pain. I lost 3 of the orig 52’s to this. They had issues with the blues for a while. After that they had an issue with the power boards and the packs used to suck.

I will say the last lamps and power packs I got have been stout

i bet you that this guy could have saved those lights, imo he's that good! i saw a few videos before deciding to give him a shot.

on his website he most repairs are under $100. and mine were! i really couldn't be happier with his service. spend a ton of money on lights and its something with small circuitry which this guy is clearly an expert at.

I was looking at his site and find it interesting that he lists common repairs:

Ecotech Radion​

• Light indicator blinks red or blue
• LEDs are burned out, missing or corroded
• Specific light channels do not turn on
• USB port is not working and/or unable to connect to computer to configure or update
• Light does not communicate with Mobius, Reef Link or other lights
• Radio needs to be upgraded to support Mobius
• Cooling fan replacement

Neptune Apex​

• EB832 power supply upgrade and repair
• Wifi is not working on Apex 2016
• Apex main module connectors corroded
• Liquid damage to any Apex module
• Connector replacement
• EB8 or EB832 is not powering on
• EB8 or EB832 individual outlets are not working
• Apex module fails to connect to the head unit

MNFISH - i'm telling you i was researching for hours trying to find something to repair my blues cause i thought it was the LED first, then i was reading about small radio repair or something similar and his youtube popped up. i was originally going to try it myself but for what i figured i can do is not mess with it and break it, but just send it to this guy cause he clearly knows how to handle reef lights and save us a ton of money! i bet there were so many good lights that were thrown away. i wanted to support him too for the work he does.
