I know this is doable, it's probably in the Knowledgebase (but I couldn't find it) so apologies but..

I want my power bar to switch a socket (let's say socket1) on for 10 seconds ever hour (so that's a cyclic function) between 8am and 10pm, but to be on between 10pm and 8am the next day. And for good measure if the power or Profilux fails it should go off, Simple, surely?

But how?

Thanks in advance

Mark

First do a cyclic timer - i use timer 2

Program it to 10 sec on - 3590 sec of

Program when it should happen

Make a new normal timer

Program it - I use 24 h format - you have to translate it to AM and PM by yourself

Configuration

One more timer

Now to PL - gate 1 or Pl 1

Another PL - gate 2

Now we knit this to a socket

Voila

And for good measure if the power or Profilux fails it should go off, Simple, surely?
Now you need to go to your system tab and click there I have mark blue

Make sure that there is no check-mark at the actual socket - in this case Switch channel 1

This should work but test it first

I have test it since last night and it works as it should.

Sincerely Lasse
Thanks,

A couple of questions if I may,

Firstly, in PL2 what is Timer 4 all about? it seems to do nothing / go nowhere except to almost copy Timer 3

Secondly in both Timers , 2 and 3 there are repeat every 2 days and Timer 4 has a delayed start.

And is it me or is 32 gates a few too many? If you need three to do this and I used a load to control my RO system / ATO reservoir / Mixing tank fill it is very easy to use up the gates quickly!

Regards

Mark

Timer 3 and 4 start on different days. so on Day 0 (now) timer 3 is active and on Day 1 (tomorrow) timer 4 is active this this will repeat every two days so it alternates every day between timer 3 and timer 4.

I agree that 32 can be used up quickly if you use complicated programming.

switch a socket (let's say socket1) on for 10 seconds ever hour (so that's a cyclic function) between 8am and 10pm, but to be on between 10pm and 8am the next day.
What I understand you want socket 1 to switch on 10 sec every hour between 8-22 the first day - the day after you want the same socket to switch on at 8 and of 22 - and after that repeat it all - every second day 10 sec between 8 and 22 - the following day on between 8 and 22.

The PL1 take care of that and timer 2 and 3 (combined) start the first day (10) wait one day and inactive next-coming day (1) and active the day after (2) and so on
The Pl 2 combine pl 1 and timer 4 that´s inactive the first day (0) active next day (1) and inactive the day after (2) - and so on. The tribute is OR because its either the PL 1 that is executed or timer 4 depending on the day in question

And it works that way

Sincerely Lasse
