What @exnisstech said. A silicone hot pad from your kitchen, perhaps?

I converted my reef octo to Venturi

The pump broke and I didn’t want to fork out $400 so I bought a cheap $100 jabeo pump and $50 mazzie Venturi

Here’s a video of my experiment.

I can't seem to find the complete package anymore. I did a similar conversion on my bubble magus about 5 or so years ago. Bought a coral box dc skimmer pump for like a hundred dollars. Its been running like a champ - I just don't see those skimmer pump kits anymore though.

It was something along the lines of a dca-2000 skimmer pump kit. I run it at about 50% for a curve 5 skimmer.

Would anyone know were to find the ceramic shaft end caps that hold it in the housing of the pump I’ve lost one and maybe that’s why it’s loud because I replaced it with a rubber one

I’ve replaced with correct size silicone hose before and not had any problems 😉
