Based on many posts I have read, stopping dosing, waiting 2-3 days and gradually ramping back up is the way to go.

I had a few specific questions:

I dose kalk and 2 part, do I start with 2 part when I turn the dosing back on then add in kalk a few days later?

Should the pace of the ramp up take a couple days or more like a week or two?

How stressful is this process? I have a bunch of sps that is doing well enough and my alk is staying in the high 7s, i just can't seem to get it to raise higher than that. Should I just leave it alone and be happy things are going well?

Alk in the high 7's dKh is never stressful, except perhaps initially if y ou had them equilibrated to a much higher alk, but even so, they have likely now adapted to 7's' dKH, which is plenty high enough. It is higher than the ocean.

I'd hold off on the kalk to keep pH lower for a bit longer, and slowly raise alk with baking soda if you believe you want alk higher.

I checked a few calculators and it looks like in my 200 gallon tank I am dosing 1.3 dkh per day (.8 kalk/1.5 gpd and .5/75ml brs soda ash).

With lots of stony's that is not an alarming consumption right?
For reference I have a stylo the size of a basketball and a couple Monti caps not far behind along with everything else.

That consumption is pretty typical. :)
