I bought three of these less than a year ago for my 220 gallon. They worked well. Nice features also.
Now it's been 10 months later. A fan went out the other day and one light would overheat and shut down continuously. So I turned them all off to to clean and inspect them. All had LED lenses that were burnt brown and melting, mishapen to the point of dripping almost. It was very dissappointing. The 1 year warranty has not been honored. I have offered to ship them all back as well for inspection. Also very disappointing for a $1000+ spent.
I ended up getting some smatfarm 60W replacements as bandage and to be honest, side-by-side, they are brighter. Three smatfarms cost $310.
I really liked the R24s, but for me - not lasting one year is an issue.
