Been wanting to get a puffer but never had one before. Any opinions on which kind to get? I currently have 2 clowns, pajama cardinal, and a blue and yellow damsel.

Valentini Puffer, hands down. Cute, active; mine eats just about anything from nori off a clip to pellets to frozen cubes of all types. Throw in a frozen mussel in a crack shell, and let the fun begin!

A very large fighting conch might be safe, especially once he gets his first taste of a clam or mussel ;)

In that size tank, the toby puffers would work. Blue spotted is my favorite. Very colorful and great personality.

Don’t you need to provide something to wear down their teeth?

Clams on the half shell will take care of their teeth or mussels...

Agreed for that size. A dogface (mentioned prior) will quickly outgrow the 65

Any puffers other than Canthigaster species will outgrow a 65g.
