Hi, I have a question about pulsing xenia. First off, I knew this is one of the fastest growing corals etc, but I always expected it grows from the side, or center, like you'd blow a baloon. I'm looking in my tank and I see a stem of xenia just poking out of a hole couple inches from the main frag, is this normal? Does pulsing xenia just pop randomly in the tank, just like that? Did I miss someting?:)

Even if you have a colony on an isolated rock, they will drop babies and it'll float around your tank and eventually it'll land in a crevice somewhere , and then............ it WILL spread ! lol

Was once on a isolated rock on the other side of the tank…

Whoa. How do you even remove something like that, if you ever had to? Just pluck it out, stem by stem?
Haha, it was a 300+ gallon tank that was deep. I gave up trying to control, it eventually covered everything including growing on the glass…

It actually looks pretty cool. Xenia is one of those weed corals that I can't keep alive. Evening in high nutrients it just withers away.
