I’ve just set up a new Cade 2100. My return pump is an RD3 230 watt unit. I bypassed all factory return plumbing and ran a 1.5” return header instead, since this pump has a 1.5” output. Since starting up, I started out running the pump at about 58 watts to achieve ~1930rpm which gave the desired return flow and tuned the drain to match. Since then, each day the water level rises in the sump and lowers in the display, due to the rpm dropping by around 100 revolutions. Within 4 days I’ve raised the wattage to about 82 watts to achieve the original output of ~1930rpm. Is this a normal break in process? All other variables have stayed the same during this cycle, and will likely have to increase wattage again today to maintain flow.
