So, my kids have those magne-tile toys, that are basically little squares and triangles that are filled with magnets to stick together and build things. They are actually pretty neat and fun to play with (ask me how I know [emoji12])
Anyway, a few weeks ago I found one chewed up on the carpet, presumably the work of our 7-month golden retriever puppy. I panicked and took the thing apart to see how many magnets were missing. After a quick online search, I learned that one can be passed usually without incident but two can cause life-threatening complications since they are attracted to each other - possibly through live tissue- in the digestive track. I let out an audible sigh when I found only one missing. Threw away the remains and made sure the rest of the magne-tiles were put up where he couldn’t reach them.
Well today, I found another magne-tile remains...this time only one magnet still there. Crap. Now, it’s very possible this could be a chunk of the last one that’s just resurfaced... but since I can’t recall if it’s the same color or how much of the last one was missing... I have no way of knowing if this is the same or a whole new chewed up tile [emoji30][emoji30] (many were missing or lost before pup started snacking on them as this set has been around for a while)
My husband is taking poochy to the emergency vet for X-rays just in case, and I am tossing the rest of the magnetiles. Sorry kids. Well wishes and prayers welcomed. And a picture of the magnet snatcher himself...
