So, my kids have those magne-tile toys, that are basically little squares and triangles that are filled with magnets to stick together and build things. They are actually pretty neat and fun to play with (ask me how I know [emoji12])

Anyway, a few weeks ago I found one chewed up on the carpet, presumably the work of our 7-month golden retriever puppy. I panicked and took the thing apart to see how many magnets were missing. After a quick online search, I learned that one can be passed usually without incident but two can cause life-threatening complications since they are attracted to each other - possibly through live tissue- in the digestive track. I let out an audible sigh when I found only one missing. Threw away the remains and made sure the rest of the magne-tiles were put up where he couldn’t reach them.

Well today, I found another magne-tile remains...this time only one magnet still there. Crap. Now, it’s very possible this could be a chunk of the last one that’s just resurfaced... but since I can’t recall if it’s the same color or how much of the last one was missing... I have no way of knowing if this is the same or a whole new chewed up tile [emoji30][emoji30] (many were missing or lost before pup started snacking on them as this set has been around for a while)

My husband is taking poochy to the emergency vet for X-rays just in case, and I am tossing the rest of the magnetiles. Sorry kids. Well wishes and prayers welcomed. And a picture of the magnet snatcher himself...

I hope your puppy turns out to be ok. We have about a 7 month old labordoodle that decided my soaker hose in my garden was pretty yummy, any my socks, dryer sheets, news paper, the list goes on and on.

I swear I go through this daily with one of our pups, she's a garbage disposal and tries to eat everything she can put in her mouth. Pop cans are a favourite of hers and she shreds them whenever she gets a hold of one.

I hope all is well with your pup, I'm sure it will be:)

Pupdate: he’s ok... even though I just found it today, he must have eaten it a day or two ago. There is one magnet left at the end of his bowels, just about to exit. So if there were more, they are already gone without causing trouble.

I swear, worse than kids...[emoji849]

Oh she's adorable lol, she also talks endlessly and as of yesterday is a renovation specialist. (She was in her room while we were at work and decided she didn't like the wall, so she ripped a 4' x 2' hole in it). To be fair the colour is pretty ugly IMO, hers too I guess

SO glad yours is okay! Sounds like he's set to go on the hunt for something more fun to chew!

Oh my gosh, I’d have a heart attack!

Our recently adopted, senior beagle has serious separation anxiety. He’s so calm and lazy, so I was like “why don’t I just try him out of his crate?” Well, he ripped the screen out of the window.

Ok, so I guess crate then. Well let me at least put your comfy bed in there for you....

...shredded. Looked like someone threw the thing in a wood chipper. ... Gotcha, bare-bottom crate it is[emoji19] Luckily someone is usually always home!

But, he looks so innocent right?

And just to add a little more cuteness to this thread, here’s the puppy when he was a little floof and not quite as destructive:

Nicole, super glad to hear that you pup is OK. Pets can just tear your heart out when they are sick or injured.

Our flame point siamese, Maia, has some kind of injury on the back just below her neck. It looked like a scrape, but how does a cat get a scrape under a heavy coat of fur? So off to the vet to be sure. They shaved the fur from the area and agreed it was just some kind of minor injury. They even used a black Sharpie to draw a circle around the red area so we could clearly see if it got any bigger. Well it didn't get bigger in diameter, but it grew into a big lump that looks like a big blood blister that is deep under her skin. We (my wife and I) agree to just watch for another day as it didn't seem to be bothering her much. Besides, it's in a spot that is very hard for her to get at. Today it isn't any bigger and it seems to be hardening, as if the blood is drying under the skin. Our vet is out today so we will watch her again and talk to the vet Sunday morning.

It's kind of funny in that 18 years ago when Elaine and I met, she didn't like cats at all or pets in general. And she never had any growing up either. But I had a 7 year old seal point siamese that she ended up falling in love with. At 18 we had to put him down due to cancer and a few months later Elaine found Mia on a siamese rescue site. She was a 6 month old kitten that had been found a several months earlier under a shed. This was Elaine's first chance to have a pet that was very young and watch as it matures and changes. I have as much fun seeing her reactions to the cat as I do playing with and loving the cat!

We are not able to keep up with the demands of owning a dog anymore so after losing my 13 year old Doberman a couple years ago I replaced him with a Gecko ;) Mrs Retro say’s we have very similar personalities, she is trying to figure out who is the laziest :D

@sfin52 see, the face says “Is this the face of a dog that could do something like that?” Hahaha so cute! And love the husky, is it a pup?

I had a red husky growing up, but my mom decided to re-home him because he was an expert escape artist and we had two very busy highways surrounding our neighborhood, so she was afraid he would end up getting hurt. She ended up finding a very nice lady who was looking for a running partner...which was perfect for him because he LOVED to run.

@Ron Reefman I hope it all turns out ok! She’s very pretty! I’m not much of a cat person myself, although there are four barn cats at my boarding farm that are quite charming. Two are kittens, brother and sister, and they are just turning into the friendliest little things as they grow. I love other people’s cats :)

@Retro Reefer he is adorable, I had a bearded dragon for almost 10 years. When he was a baby, he would sleep on my stomach. When put on the floor, he would follow me around and jump on my lap. They have more personality then people think!

Yep that is a face that would do that. Reason he doesn't have a bed he chewed two. Bed murder.

The Loki the husky is a bit over 6 months.

Not one bit sorry for worrying us like he did...

Glad the pup is okay. One of mine is having a tooth pulled tomorrow.
