Just beginning to look at controllers. A wireless controller would save me great headaches. Does anybody know if the Puratek controller is wireless to the router, or is it hard-wired?

If the Puratek controller is hard-wired (Kinda suspect it is), can anybody suggest a wireless controller................... or does this animal not exist?

Currently working on bringing a new DSA 150-gallon reef aquarium up. Should be wet by the end of August. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I have the Puratek Insight 24/7 controller, and I love it. When you talk about wireless vs. hardwired, what are you referring to? The controller can be controlled wirelessly using their software, and it can be connected to your internet either directly to your modem/router with an ethernet capable or with a network module that plugs into any electrical outlet ( a very helpful option if your tank is far from your router/modem like mine is). Is that the question?

Just the replies I was hoping for. A module that plugs in an outlet to reach the router wirelessly is the ticket for me. I was not aware of Archon from Digital Aquatics, but I will now research this controller.

Attached is a picture of where the build is at. Pretty much ready to go. Will be lighting it with two Reefbreeders Photon 32's. Wrestling with the controller thing (Not sure if I want to go that route). Once the canopy is finished will begin cycling.

Thank you for your posts, I greatly appreciate the information.

That was me too. I definitely couldn't go direct to the modem (since my tank is 2 floors below it), so I love that Puratek has the wireless option. :-)
