Recieved this a while ago and its been growing out in my frag tank from a nub before I moved it over to the main DT. The more light I give it, the brighter the purple gets. In low light it just browns out. Here it is about 8" away from T5. The base is a blueish green/purple mixture. Its a really nice piece, just want to name it. Sorry for the bad pic

almost looks like a tort...

Thanks Troy. This one is growing differently than my other blue tort though. Growth pattern like my tricolor. Guess I've never seen a purple tort before so that would be kewl!!

Can anyone direct me to a pic that shows a grown out Purple monster?

Thanks Micheal, I was just wondering bc all I have seen are little nubs, never a colony

It just looks like what is commonly referred to as "Purple Acropora" It is still a nice looking piece though.
