Purple Firefish impacted by Lanthanum Chloride?

Has anyone else had issues with using lanthanum chloride and Purple Firefish? I have been dosing very low Phosban L over the past several days to bring down phosphate from 0.3+ to 0.1 ppm (refer to separate posts), but he is breathing heavily now and not eating. Any recommendations on what to do, or should we wait and see what happens? No other fish have issues, clowns, blenny, gobies. Thanks!

lathanium is effective in reducing phosphates and deemed safe for fish unless over dosed and can reduce oxygen levels temporarily due to heavy precipitates
 
My orange firefish have never been effected by it, I've heard it can hurt some tangs but it seems inconsistent - the recommendation is to dose into a very fine (few micron) filter sock to make sure you catch the clumped flocculant so it doesn't get into gills or whatnot and potential cause problems, but I haven't seen any and haven't heard of many.

Appreciate the feedback. PH is the highest in the past 7 days at 8.3 (measured by two calibrated probes, APEX and Milwaukee). Can I conclude that the lack of oxygen is not the issue?

Oxygen- doubt it . Takes a bit to overdose.
 
It's not really a similar measurement, you'd want DO (dissolved oxygen) which is doable with a probe but which isn't offered on any controllers. ORP at least includes DO in its measurement, but it's a relative one and only a component of the measurement.

I think the risk of low oxygen is only when overdosed, I haven't noticed any oxygenation issues from it in my tank using concentrations close to on-the-box recommendations (something like 1mL per 40 gallons).
