Purple Goby, white blobs

Hey all just wanted to get your opinion on what this might be. I started to see these small white blobs appear on her back tail. She seems to be acting as normal and eating fine.

These may b scratch marks but can also be flukes. Is fish eating and breathing normal?
Any scratching or flickering of fins?
Can you post a video under bright white light intensity, no blue to assure not ich?

Can you see any of the spots towards the front of the fish, where the skin is lighter? I can almost see some, but tough to make out from the picture. If these are spread more or less evenly all over the fish, I would lean towards this being a parasite, possibly flukes.

I pulled all fish out and dipped each one separately for 5 mins in freshwater.

X2 clowns perfect as can been showed no signs prior. Fairly new to the tank.

Flame Angel- showed slight signs after dipped very minimal flukes came out.

Royal Gramma- Def the culprit. As soon as I dipped him he looked like he stoked out about 12-18 flukes poured out of him.

I have all but the clowns in quarantine. I went ahead and treated them with Fritz CopperSafe. Are there any other recommendations for medicating them and how long?

For flukes, coppersafe will not address it. You want PraziPro treatment applying initial dosage at 85% of recommended for 8 days, water change and one more application lasting 8 more days

If you could see gray ovals falling off the fish, then that is Neobenedenia flukes. Coppersafe won’t treat that disease though.

Praziquantel or hyposalinity are your two treatments. I prefer hypo, but that cannot be done in tanks with invertebrates in it.

Update the royal Gramma has passed away. I’m not too surprised as the poor thing went into instant shock when I dipped him in freshwater as dozens of flukes fell out of him. After placing him back into the qt he was pretty stressed but arrived home today to find his breathing was very very shallow eventually passing. I’m really hoping the rest do not get to this point.

I tested a few levels today and maybe I shouldn’t have. Ammonia is reading 1.1ppm. Do you believe the PraziPro is giving false readings or something to be worried about?

False readings yes, and the highest ammonia level acceptable. To test against your kit, make a small batch of water and test it and see what the reading is

This is why I asked and suspected, known for false readings. Take a water sample to an LFS that does NOT use api tests and see what readings they come up with
Likely you have a false reading. Hanna and salifert brand tests are best

Prazipro doesn't affect or alter ammonia readings, but as mentioned, not all ammonia test are accurate, and some are difficult to read. Two things you can do is to confirm the ammonia reading with a proper test (the Hach salicylate test is very accurate) or you can test some newly mixed water that you know has zero ammonia and see if your test accurately shows that.

Hey there. Just wanted to update you one this and seek your advice going forward. So I have done two weeks or Prazi pro treatments. The flame angle and Purple Firefish have shown no signs and looking great since the end of the first treatment before water change. Completed a 2nd week of treatment both looking great and eating great acting as normal. However the clown has continued to have visible flukes, scratching, and twitching. Eating great and acting normal for the most part. Question is that should I continue to treat the flame angle and FireFish since they are all in the same QT tank together?

Clowns dont get flukes, at least rarely. Can you post a couple of pics?
