I haven’t been on the forum for a while now. But my purple stripe dottyback just started do this strange thing. (I’m not worried about him he is eating burrowing. His scales look fine and he’s just being a little bully which is generally funny as the other fish don’t seem to even care. By far it is my favorite fish.) About a week ago he started doing something I thought was strange as I had never seen him do it before. He will rub up against the acan like he is trying to host on it. Now he has started hanging out close to the Acan. Has anyone else ever seen hosting behavior in a dottyback before?

He has not been rubbing on anything else. Not the glass rocks any of the other coral nothing just the Acan.

  • Anything that encourages natural fish behavior was a byproduct of the aquascaping.
