I have a purple tang and introduced a powder blue to the tank yesterday. The purple is buying the powder blue non stop, can I put the purple in a quarantine tank for a few weeks than reintroduce him to the bigger tank?

Two of the more aggressive tangs in a 75g doesn’t leave a ton of room for territory splitting.
You certainly can try isolation.
The PB is a challenging fish.
Tons of rock work will help a lot.

We are getting a 240 gallon, last said the 2 would be ok together for a year or so in the 75....but kind of regretting it tons of rock

Sure if they are juvenile a year easy.

The PB will likely become the boss at some point as he/she will grow faster than the purple. This fish loves to be boss.

A 240g will be fab for the long term.

I trap the trouble maker in this box for 48hrs, then reintroduce.

Consider a mirror on the glass, the reflection can distract the aggressor.

Kole and Sailfin in the trap, not the aggressors, but both when into the trap…..so…..we worked with that.
