My purple urchin is literally eating away the skeletal base of my green torch. the torch does have some spiroid worms on it, but besides that no algae or anything. is it trying to eat the spiroid worms? is there anyway to stop this behavior? love the work he puts in cleaning the tank but do not like that he's destroying my torch that's currently splitting into 5 different heads.

Can you post pictures of the urchin and coral?
it's just a purple short spine urchin. but he was spending so much time on the torch at one point it could've been the only thing that did that in such a short period. ever since I ensure he can't get to the base nothing has gotten worse.
