Hi all,

I am about to QT a Regal tang and Powder blue. Both are about 2.5 inch and my QT tank is 240 litres. Should I separate them in the QT tank or is it better to introduce them to each other immediately in order to limit the chance of aggression in the DT?

Second question is regarding copper treatment. Some people treat with copper for 14 days, some treat for 30, some treat 2ppm and others push up to 5ppm.

What is the best method of Quarantining using copper to reduce the risk of issues like Ich and Velvet but also not affect the well-being of the fish?

Thanks

I would try to quarantine them together, but have a piece of egg crate as a divider ready to go in case they become aggressive. Make sure they have hiding spaces. I use pvc elbows. I use this quarantine method.

Not related but is your DT FOWLR? Or does it have corals?

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
