QT tank and cyano

I have about 10 days left in a 30 day QT, but I’m noticing some red algae (thinking cyano) on the bottom of the tank, and water gets cloudy after about a day even after doing 50-75% water changes. Do I just leave it be for 10 days or should I do something about the cyano?

Cyano is a type of bacteria often stemming from lack of water movement, overfeeding, high organics such as phosphate and nitrate and even use of tap water. It is less than an issue such as dino which releases low level toxins. I suggest a water change and restore the new water with same level coppersafe and also wiping surfaces with a sponge as you have few days left of quarantine. Increase water flow a little if possible without stirring the tank. An air stone may help accomplish this alone

I’m having an issue with my RODI, so my guess is combination of that and possibly overfeeding. I have new filters and di resin coming but wont be here for a week. Is it safe to keep using the bad rodi water? It’s reading high tds after the di resin. Reads 48 before di, 80’s after di resin. City water is in the 50’s/60’s

May be part of issue and recommend refill station water at grocery store and distilled water to tie you over. Distilled is a little low in ph

Is the ammonia level being controlled at near zero?

Can you post a video or pic of the tank?
Does the QT have good mechanical filtration?
Have you tried siphoning off the cyanobacteria?

Yeah, I cleaned it all up with a sponge yesterday. I have two ammonia alert badges, both show safe. I have two hob filters, and two sponge filters for water movement. Can grab a vid shortly but since I cleaned it, can’t really see any cyano yet just the cloudy ish water
