I have a 10 gallon QT that I just set up with only sand and filter sponge.

Am I allowed to eventually add an acropora to QT for 76 days? Or is it smarter to just purchase from a fishless system?

Tidal Gardens says a DT should be a year old for best acropora success.

How do people QT these delicate species to prevent ich/velvet from going to fish?

Those parasites do not live on corals, they are fish parasites, but may be found on plugs.
Always dip, inspect and Cut the plug off before it enters your waters.
Acros don’t last long in non mature waters.

Many people deal with this issue by setting up a dedicated frag tank that can double as quarantine for incoming coral specimens. If you don't have the time or space for doing this, I don't see why a simpler form of the tank transfer method wouldn't work for frags as long as your provide the appropriate lighting.

Mine go in my frag/lagoon system for a few weeks before I put them in the display.
How many gallons is your tank?

Is anyone can help me find out how many gallon tank I need? I’m only housing acropora frags with weekly water changes.

What’s the smallest tank size I can go?

Each acro will be kept in tank for 6 weeks. It’s just for fish parasites. Help would be greatly appreciated.

My frag/lagoon system is 45g. 36x24x12 with a 40 breeder sump.
