So I recently got 5 new fish in from online yesterday:
-a longfin ruby fairy wrass
-BIG purple firefish
-yellow clown goby
-humongous royal gramma
-diamond watchman goby

And I have them in my 20 gallon long that has cycled media from my sump, I’ve stocked up on practically every medication and I’m wondering what would be best to use first. I am not observing anything so far except the fairy wrass’s fins look a little rough

Since I’m not observing any obvious sickness I’m thinking about running the recommended 2 doses of prazipro over a couple weeks and then observing til I hit the 21-28 days BRS recommends of quarantine

I have copper power and a copper tester on hand but I’m hesitant to use it due to how long the fish would be in quarantine and if I wanted to run prazipro that adds on another 2 weeks which can be difficult to manage. Since some of these fish like sifting through sand like the diamond goby I worry about leaving them in the bare bottom tank for too long. Thoughts on all of this? (This probably could have gone in the sickness forum but I decided against it due to wanting general advice about quarantine)

Do the prazzi pro and observe. Don’t use copper unless you need to. Place a Tupperware container full of sand in there for the wrasse

No reason not to run copper imo.
Like said, but a tray of sand in for the fish that need it.

Interesting, I will do this. And yeah I’m thinking this is the best solution as I know prazipro can help with ich and velvet even if it’s not a full treatment

No need for pvc in the sand but some pvc in the tank allows for sleeping and hiding

I've quarantined multiple diamond goby's in the past. They're ok for a few weeks without sand. As others have mentioned, you can put in a little Tupperware tray of sand.

Also need to make sure the sand is inert to prevent absorption of meds

Simple play sand will work. You just don't want something that effects parameters.

Fairy wrasses don't sleep in the sand so yes it'll be fine without it.
