I have a 30 gallon QT tank set up and have a couple fish in there that are doing well. I have one live rock and a couple pieces of PVC in the bottom of the tank. I was wondering if you do anything different when you QT fish that like sand such as, a jawfish or a diamond goby? I have seen them in QT in the LFS and they seem miserable sitting in the bottom of the tank.

Thanks for your time.

I've seen people just add a small bowl / tray of sand for them. Something like a Glad or Rubbermaid food container filled with a little sand should work.

I just use an appropriately sized Tupperware bowl. It's surprising how quickly the fish adapt and utilize it.
