So all the stuff I’ve read about Quarantining and not cross contaminating nets and pumps and all that good stuff. How are you supposed to take the fish from the Quarantine tank and put them in the display???

I’m guessing catch them with my QT net. Put them in a clean bucket of display water and then net them again with my display net? Or just pour them in display straight from the clean bucket?

Either way there will be a small amount of QT water making it into the display.

Thoughts?

Less than an ounce of QT water can easily be dealt with by some carbon.
But by the time you acclimate the fish there should be very very little qt water left and even less on the net. Should literally be the eq of a drop or 2 getting into your tank. And you can always give it a freshwater 10 second rinse if you want on the way to your tank.

You can do a 4-5 minute freshwater dip between the quarantine tank and the display tank if you are concerned. That should keep anything from being transferred. I personally don’t do this, I just use a net or my hands and deal with the couple of drops of water that might be transferred.
