OMG the patience thing is real!! So Since my first post in December I have slooooowly gathered supplies (boy do those little odds and ends add up quickly) I settled on a JBJ45 AIO to not get too overwhelmed (it's still empty waiting on connecting the RO/DI unit). I used a different stand, large double wide so I would have room to expand if needed.
My question is twofold, since this is a new set up do the first "things" I add need to be quarantined - like snails and such? Since there would be nobody else in the tank at that time.
Second how large a quarantine tank do I need and can it be simple 10gal just using the same water parameters?
We have no basement or garage to "hide" things (it's the south) so I was hoping to put a small tank in the cabinet so nobody would see it.
Thank you for all your help! Reading the forums here is really fun 🥰

10-20g is what I would do! Also, I am linking below the QT protocols as well. This has some useful information in it!

I personally never QT inverts. Some people on here do, but I never found the need to qt an invert.

I have a 10 gallon quarantine tank I known some one with a 65 gallon quarantine tank but they were quarantining big fish. I don’t quarantine my inverts sometimes I give them a little Rodi dunk then I add them.

Mine's a 40 but only because I like the temperature stability of a larger volume and my ammonia concerns go way down - dilution being the solution. Otherwise I'd be comfortable with a 15 for pretty much anything.
