I usually buy my fish from my LFS who does a 30 day quarantine and have not been doing a home quarantine. There quarantine room is impressive. My tank is a year old and no issues so far. Another LFS runs copper and quarantines for 10 days unless bought from their trusted online source then goes right out. I just bought a melanarus wrasse who has been in the copper 10 days. I am unsure how long he’s been quarantined before that.
My question, I have a 7 day hold on him and don’t plan on using copper at my home quarantine. I plan on a two treatment of prazipro. I don’t see any diseased fish in the tanks. Would you try to wait the extra 7 days in the copper or just get the fish to my home quarantine and start enjoying the fish. I used my sump rock and water and dosed 1ppm ammonia yesterday which I’m hoping will be gone today. Making my lid today so he doesn’t jump. I could get the fish today

If you’re not going to use copper, go with either ruby rally pro or hypo salinity at 1.009
