i bought a Coral Beauty Angel he’s been at my lfs for about 2 weeks i added him to tank without quarantining. First few hrs and hes explored almost the whole tank and all caves ect.. i know its probably to early to say if its healthy or not. But how recommend would you guys say it is to get the fish a Gt tank. I have a 45gal tank , filter , heater and old light downstairs with fresh water fish but I’ve been trying to let them go for some time. I might donate them to Lfs and set up qt. Whats your guys experience with these fish.?!

2 weeks isnt enough time to determine if the fish is healthy there is a risk. What is a Gt tank? Do you mean quarantine tank? Its kinda pointless to quarantine him now if hes already been in your display tank and hes not showing sickness. You would have to pull all the fish and quarantine them all since you dropped him in already.

Quarantine is a great way to protect your investment in fish and corals. Take a look here.

This quarantine protocol was put together in collaboration with Humblefish himself and made to be easy and effective.

Most diseases in new fish show up within 45 days if not quarantined.

For future reference, I keep our updated quarantine process here:
