I was wondering if I could use RODI water to do a freshwater dip, or should I just use tap water with a dechlorinater?

Might be a dumb question but just needed some clarification.

I've read @vetteguy53081 and @Jay Hemdal say use regular tap water instead of rodi.something to do with the ph buffering ir lack of from rodi but will let them give you more detailed why and why not

You can use regular tap water and assure it is same temperature as display tank. Optional, you can add a pinch of baking soda to water for ph but not necessary as it is only 5 minute use
