Question about Inkbird ITC-308 Dual Stage Temperature Controller

Hi folks,

Does anyone know if the cooling set point and heating set point can be different? How different?

Planning to have both heating and cooling, and don't want it to be switching back and forth between the two, but rather have the heater set at, say, 74 and the cooling at, say, 78.

My cooling isn’t by compressor, so the compressor timing protection wouldn’t be needed, but the system will work perfectly for what I want.

I use fans for cooling, they are plugged into the inkbird also, so both heating and cooling, one controller

It is sometimes too humid here in mid summer to count on fans. I use cold tap water run through plastic tubing coils then out to my yard to water plants. Killing two birds with one stone. :)

The rebranded Ranco is the best on the market. Aqua Logic. I think they have a dual stage for heating and cooling as well. Not cheap but I can't think of one failure from them that I have ever read about

There is only one set point on ITC-308… well at least on mine there is. The only thing that can be set different is the hysteresis for heating versus cooling.

I use Ranco at work to control chillers on spot welders and waterjets and have never had a failure. Conductive weld dust is hard on all electronics and I would consider it a worse environment than my tank.

Do you have a guess as to how much water you're running through?
