I was under the impression the p4 can’t control my light however when I click the illumination tab it shows activity? I don’t understand.

It can control lighting but it must - in most cases - use a 1-!0 V signal. Many brands of lighting do not have this standard - instead they use its own controller. Kessil have 1-10 - Hydra does not have a possibility to take a external 1- 10V . There is also a diy solutions there the 1-10V signals convert to pwm signals. GHL own illuminations could also be handled from the P4
