i currently have one reef safe wrasse, a melanarus. My question is, can I keep another reef safe wrasse as well. I have a 46 bow front, bio load isnt that much. I just love their colorations. Anyways, if so can you guys suggest any. Thanks!

I'm not too familar with the Melenarus wrasse and their attitudes toward other wrasses.

If they play well with other, what about trying a McCoskers flasher wrasse?

As long as you add a different species of NON AGGRESSIVE Wrasse, you should be just fine. The Melanarus are not very aggressive and need to be kept with other non aggressive wrasses. They may become aggressive towards others of the same species though. Some options would include:

Cirrhilabrus species
Paracheilinus species of Flasher Wrasses
Macropharyngodon species of Leopard Wrasses

I keep two species of Halichoeres wrasses (soon to be 3), including a melanurus, along with 3 different species of Cirrhilabrus wrasses (5' 125gal tank). The Halichoeres are much more peaceful than the Cirrhilabrus towards other fish, IME.

My melanurus didn't like my yellow coris (R.I.P.) but he doesn't have a problem with my 6 line.
