I am setting up my first saltwater tank as follows:

85 gallon tank
30 gallon sump
10 feet of head height
1 in PVC hard plumbing
Submersible return pump
I will be using a Bean Animal overflow design, so one of the standpipes will be full siphon. I read that the full siphon will be ~ 1000GPH.

I am thinking of buying a Sicce Syncra 10.0 2500GPH. At 10 feet of head, it should push about 1700 GPH. However the pump has a 1.5 inch connector which I will need to reduce to 1 inch to match my hard plumbing. Can anyone calculate the reduction in flow rate I will see as a result of going from 1.5 inches to 1 inch?
