It depends somewhat on what dip you want to use. Popular coral dips include Two Little Fishies Revive and Coral Rx. Some really like Bayer insecticide that you can buy at your local garden center, it does a good job at eradicating coral pests, but comes with some human health concerns with its usage. Many have started to dip corals in a solution of hydrogen peroxide, which does a good job at taking care of ugly algae attached to the frag plug.
