Hi, I am new to having a skimmer. I ordered the hang on back aquamax bullet 3 and the brs co2 scrubber. They are both arriving today and i do not know how to hook up the co2 scrubber to the skimmer.
To my knowledge there is only a short tube that comes out of the top of the skimmer. And the scrubber has a 6ft long tube. What goes where? Its hard to find a video on this, they blow through that part so fast.
Thanks

I am not familiar with your particular skimmer, but your skimmer should have an inlet barb for air that should be easy to identify. You connect the hose on the scrubber to that barb such that all air entering the skimmer has to pass through the scrubber. Hope that helps, maybe someone with your particular skimmer can chime in for more detailed instructions

Im hoping. Thanks
So, my skimmer arrived and the co2 scrubber. Heres the top of the skimmer, the yellow tube is the intake for the skimmer. The co2 scrubber has two openings, one on each side of the container. And a long fat clear tube. Just not sure goes to what? No instructions came with the co2 scrubber

So one side of the scrubber, that should go into the chamber with the media. that tube is open to the air. the other tube get hooked up to the inlet tube on the skimmer, that is the little box that the yellow tube is connected to. The other tube connector on the other side of the little box, that is where the scrubber should be connected to.
Now, in the future you may way to consider setting it up as a recirculating scrubber, that way you don't burn thru your media so fast. See out it goes first with the basic setup.

Thank you. I was thinking maybe that, but theres one problem, the co2 tube is way to fat to fit and stay on that skinny piece from the skimmer. I cant use a different tube because the other end fits perfectly to the scrubber. Is there some sort of connector piece to go between the two? Or... can i shove the yellow intake tube directly into the clear tube(it fits).. bypassing the silencer box? Or would this cause an issue?

You should be able to put the yellow tube in and by-pass the box. Depending on how tight the tube is, you may need to put some teflon tape or something like that around the yellow tube.
you should go on Amazon though and get adapters and extra tubing so you can hook it up correctly though.

Also, the scrubber says.. in ..on one side and ..out ..on the other. Just to be sure, im connecting the tube to which side,.. the out, right? Because we want the air that has already ran through it to get back to the pump, right? They should put instructions with these scrubbers

Yes, the "out" tube connects to the yellow tube.
