two test 2 different results what one should I trust my reads on the ph was the same it was just the nitrates that are way different

Better quality kits, so neither? Could have it tested at your LFS to see which test is more accurate for each individual test type; assuming the LFS uses quality test kits.

I recommend purchasing a higher quality test neither of those are very accurate. Redsea has great test kits and the price isn't to bad.

I had the top one. Had is the key word. Red Sea is a really good one

The API kits are good enough to get you close to the ballpark but as others have said, get Red Sea, Nyos, Hanna or a Salifert kit. But for the moment I'd trust the API over the dip stick one.
